On Thursday 1st March we will be celebrating world Book Day at Toner Avenue! During the day we will be enjoying stories and talking about our favourite books.
Children are welcome to come along dressed as their favourite book characters or simply in non-uniform if they prefer. We ask for a donation of £1 for the day with all money raised going towards buying new books for the school.
We will also be holding a book swap. If your children have any books that they no longer need, have grown out of, or have finished with, they can bring the book into school and exchange it for a new one donated by another child. Hopefully everyone will go home on Thursday with something new to read.
Reading is one of the most important things that a child can do at home and talking about their books has been proven to have a positive impact on their reading skills and comprehension, as well as encouraging a love for reading.
Thank you for your support.
